The Vietnam Logistics Service Business Association (VLA) recently released a list of members of the research committee for the "Provincial Logistics Competitiveness Index (LCI) of Vietnam 2022," including relevant agencies, departments, universities, and businesses with expertise and experience in the field of logistics. InterLOG is privileged to be recognized by the association and to become a member of the research committee for this project.

The research committee for the Provincial Logistics Competitiveness Index (LCI) of Vietnam 2022 was established.

Prior to this, on March 5, 2022, the VLA executive committee held its first meeting to prepare for the announcement of the LCI project, creating a list of Steering Committee and Research Committee members for the LCI project in Vietnam in 2022.

On August 11, the Vietnam Logistics Service Business Association (VLA) organized an event to launch the Logistics Competitiveness Index (LCI) project of Vietnam 2022. The project involved research units such as the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the Vietnam Logistics Research and Development Institute (VLI), and Dream Incubator (DI).

At this event, the VLA executive committee officially announced the LCI project, making decisions and formally announcing the members of the research committee. Among them, InterLOG, an international freight forwarding company, was one of the members of the research committee.

During the program, the VLA executive committee also agreed to establish and announce the formation of the Advisory Council and the Steering Committee for the LCI project.

InterLOG is currently a company specializing in providing comprehensive logistics services and supply chain consulting with over 15 years of practical experience both domestically and internationally, particularly in providing services and solutions for large FDI-invested factories in Vietnam, contributing to the overall development of the logistics sector.

Through actively participating in CSR activities through the Vietnam Logistics Service Business Association (VLA), InterLOG conducts research and contributes to developing solutions that promote the growth of the logistics industry.

Specifically, by collaborating with VLA in the series of activities of the LCI project, identifying and evaluating metrics that measure the speed of development, quality, infrastructure, and government policies of provinces and cities in Vietnam regarding the logistics business sector, InterLOG demonstrates its social responsibility (following the sustainable ESG development model) to enhance awareness and understanding of the logistics industry.

This is also one of the collaborative efforts of InterLOG for the community, aiming to support the logistics community in Vietnam towards the goal of a STRONG VIETNAM IN 2045.

The LCI project, the Logistics Competitiveness Index of Vietnam at the provincial level, initiated in 2019, has attracted numerous organizations, government agencies, and businesses, who have shown interest, participated, or sponsored the project.

The project will provide metrics to assess the speed of development, quality, infrastructure, and government policies of provinces and cities in Vietnam. Particularly, it will present a comprehensive overview of the logistics business sector in the provinces and cities of Vietnam; the LCI index will serve as an effective policy advocacy tool to help state management agencies from central to local levels develop policies, plan logistics suitable for the economic development characteristics of each region.

Additionally, the LCI aims to research the logistics competitiveness index of economic regions to implement Resolution 120 on Sustainable Development of Economic Regions and Integrated Planning of the Mekong Delta spreading to other economic regions.

The results of the LCI will also support businesses in formulating development strategies. Upon completion, the project will fulfill Task 36 regarding the improvement of support policies for logistics service businesses and Task 60 concerning the ranking and evaluation of competitiveness of the logistics service industry and logistics service businesses in Decision 221/QD-TTg dated February 22, 2021, entrusted to the VLA by the government.
